\nIt has been a custom to celebrate Mother\u2019s Day with a lunch inviting some guests. It was the first anniversary of accomplishing and entering in the new workshop. It is ours. I made a fund for building it mostly with the donations from Korean groups and individuals. It\u2019s a long and complicated story to write this and no one will understand why it was so difficult. It also coincides with the foundation of the MujeresUnidas. It was a tiny group of a few women who have been making candles or clay figures and flowers.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s menu was pachamanca. In traditional pachamanca are put several kinds of meat, potatoes and sweet potatoes as well as corns in an oven made in the ground. In Lima it is impossible and they use a large pot instead. We had lamb and pork, or lamb and chicken meat, and other ingredients as well as a lot of green spices. <\/p>\n

We used to invite several people who have been supporting our work from the Socios En Salud, but this year we invited only Dr. Leo, Director General of SES and Oscar Ramirez. Dr. Leo couldn\u2019t come, so it was only Oscar that came to it. It was good that he came, as he is the person who has been helping us. <\/p>\n

Besides pachamanca there was an important thing, curry in Japanese style. Some members learned how to make it from internet, a real way, not with roux. It was delicious. They did it for me to show their gratitude for me for working for them. As dessert they had prepared a whole ring of custard pudding, Spanish style. They remember that my favorite sweet is that pudding. After that a beautiful clock and a big bouquet were presented to me. It was an emotional moment. They regarded me as their communal mother. These days there were many occasions to cry, so that that day I told to myself \u201cdon\u2019t cry, don\u2019t cry\u201d. <\/p>\n

We have celebrated Mother\u2019s Day with a lunch. This year it was celebrated again with happiness to share it among all the members of MujeresUnidas.<\/p>\n
